Dr. Mark DeSantis is a radiologist at the VA Medical Center in Northport, NY, and clinical assistant professor at The State University of New York. He serves as a radiology consultant to the Los Angeles Medical Examiner, New Jersey Chief State Medical Examiner, and NY Suffolk County Medical Examiner. He also serves on the VA HCC Tumor Board, VA Education Task Force and Stony Brook Committee on Admissions. Dr. DeSantis is actively involved with the American Board of Physician Specialties (ABPS) and the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association. He is a past president of the AAPS, has served as both a delegate and alternate to the AAPS House of Delegates, and he is currently serving as the vice chair of the Board of Certification in Radiology.

Dr. Arthur Cooper, current president of the ABPS Board of Directors, was educated at Harvard College, the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, the Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons Institute of Human Nutrition, and the Montefiore-Einstein Center for Bioethics. He was trained in general surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, in pediatric surgery and surgical critical care at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and is certified by the American Board of Surgery in all three specialties. Dr. Cooper is also certified in disaster medicine by the American Board of Disaster Medicine, in emergency medical services by the American Board of Emergency Medicine, and holds a certificate in bioethics and medical humanities from the Montefiore-Einstein Center for Bioethics. He is professor emeritus and special lecturer in surgery at the Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons and director of pediatric surgical and pediatric trauma services at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem. He is also lead ethics consultant at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem and chair of the ethics council for the NYC Health + Hospitals enterprise.

Dr. Jackson-Hammond, a decorated US Army veteran, is in private practice in Detroit, MI. She is also a member of the Detroit Medical Center and on staff at Harper Hospital. Dr. Jackson-Hammond is board certified in family medicine and has been a diplomate of ABPS since 1997. She is a member of the Board of Certification in Family Medicine and the family medicine appeals, credentialing and written examination committees.

Dr. Jerry Allison is medical director for Molina Healthcare and the Molina Healthcare Texas Mobile Integrative Health Program. He has practiced emergency medicine, family medicine, and medical management for 20 years and has over 30 years of experience in EMS, education, clinical care, and leadership. Dr. Allison is also the immediate past president of AAPS.

Very shortly after the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Polish city of Przemysl, which is but a few kilometers from the border, was inundated with refugees. The Archdiocese of Przemysl responded, along with many large international NGO's. Through the leadership of Father Marek Machala, tens of thousands of Ukranian refugees have been fed, clothed, sheltered, and received basic healthcare.

Dr. Alex Beuning is an assistant professor of emergency medicine at Mayo Clinic – Eau Claire in Northwest Wisconsin. In this 23 years with Mayo Clinic in Wisconsin, Dr. Beuning has served in a wide variety of leadership roles, including EMS medical director, trauma medical director, regional medical director, emergency medicine practice chair, Mayo Clinic Northland hospital board chair, RSI/PSA course medical director, lecturer for the Mayo Clinic Eau Claire Family Medicine Residency Program, and helped developed the Mayo Clinic Emergency Medicine APP Fellowship program. Dr. Beuning has also done work outside of Mayo Clinic to improve the education in rural emergency departments, including Comprehensive Advanced Life Support Wisconsin chapter medical director and he is an author and co-editor of Emergency Medicine Core Training. Dr. Beuning has served AAPS/ABPS as BCEM oral board chair, BCEM vice chair, EM GTP program surveyor, and chair of the AAPS CME Committee.

Dr. Frank Nocilla was born on Long Island, NY. He graduated from St. John's University in New York City with triple majors in pharmacy, biology, and theology. He earned an emergency medical technician certification, paramedic certification, and completed an internal medicine residency at Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY. Dr. Nocilla joined the New York Air National Guard Air Combat Command and became an Air Force flight surgeon and a Critical Care Air Transport Team physician serving two tours in Iraq. He continues to fly as a flight physician for REVA Air Ambulance Service part time and works full time as a hospitalist/critical care physician. Dr. Nocilla is on an on-call rotation as a physician for the National Disaster Medical System through DMAT NY-4 (Disaster Medical Assistance Team) and has been deployed to every national disaster for several decades including the World Trade Center, Hurricane Sandy, Haiti, and Puerto Rico.

Dr. Lingappa Amernath is a clinical assistant professor for the Department of Emergency Medicine at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. He is currently practicing emergency medicine at Crouse Hospital and the VA Medical Center in Syracuse. Dr. Amernath is actively involved in international emergency medicine and has many affiliations including the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) lead ambassador to India, vice president of the Global Academy of Emergency Medicine (GAEM), and past president and member at large of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine India Chapter (AAEMi). He is actively involved in AAPS and ABPS and has served as an oral examiner for more than 10 years. He has also served as member of the AAPS CME Committee, member of the AAPS Board of Directors, and chair of the ABPS Board of Directors. Dr. Amernath trained in India, the United Kingdom, as well as the United States and has organized and successfully conducted many international emergency medicine conferences overseas. Additionally, he has been a speaker at numerous conferences in the US as well as internationally to promote emergency medicine. He has received multiple awards including Icon of Emergency medicine by the Federation of Emergency Physicians, India for his contribution in developing and promoting emergency medicine in India for the past 25 years.

Dr. Joseph Damiani is board certified in plastic surgery by ABPS and specializes in aesthetic plastic surgery. He completed his residency training in plastic surgery at Boston University and his fellowship training in Beverly Hills under world-renowned plastic surgeon Dr. Frank Kamer. Dr. Damiani has 30 years of experience and is an expert in breast augmentation, breast lifting, tummy tucks, liposuction, eyelifts, nasal reshaping, face lifts, facial fillers, laser therapy, chemical peels as well as general aspects of plastic surgery. Dr. Damiani currently serves as a governor of the American Academy of Specialists in Surgery and was chair of the Board of Certification in Surgery from 2006 to 2008. He has practiced plastic surgery in Wisconsin, California, and the Texas Metroplex and currently has offices and practices in Midland, TX. Dr. Damiani is an active member of the West Texas community, providing a great deal of charity reconstructive surgery for West Texas and surrounding communities.

Dr. Elizabeth Dimitri is the founder and director of Dimitri Dermatology and Cosmetic Center, and she has been on staff at East Jefferson General Hospital in Metairie, LA, since 2004. She has over 20 years of experience in dermatology including Gulf South Medical and Surgical Institute in Louisiana for dermatology training, Advanced Desert Dermatology in Arizona for continued training in dermatology, and in the Netherlands for continued training in dermatology for Mohs surgery. Prior to her present position, Dr. Dimitri was clinical instructor of dermatology with Gulf South Medical and Surgical Institute. She is currently adjunct clinical professor of dermatology at William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine, adjunct assistant professor of dermatology at Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine, and a preceptor for Southeastern Louisiana University nurse practitioners and NOVA Southeastern medical students. Dr. Dimitri is board certified in dermatology by the Board of Certification in Dermatology (BCD) and currently serving as the BCD vice chair. Additionally, she is the secretary for Louisiana Osteopathic Medical Association and has lectured many times for their national meetings. Dr. Dimitri provides broad access to dermatologic care. Not only does she offer services to the insured, but also to the underinsured and those without insurance. Dr. William Farrell grew up in southwest suburban Chicago and graduated from Loyola Stritch School of Medicine in 1980. He completed an orthopedic residency in Northwest Pennsylvania and joined a private practice group in 1985. He currently works part time at a rural hospital in Galena, IL. During his practice, Dr. Farrell became interested in administrative medicine which motivated him to pursue an MBA. He went back to school and graduated from the University of Tennessee MBA program in 2011, gaining invaluable knowledge that he is able to apply to everyday medical situations. Dr. Farrell is one of the founding members of the American Board of Administrative Medicine and is now board certified in administrative medicine. His past hospital roles and responsibilities included chief of staff, medical executive committee, and staff secretary.

Dr. Lewis Marshall is a physician-attorney and currently serves as the chief medical officer at NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln. He has worked in internal medicine and emergency medicine for over 30 years. Dr. Marshall is affiliate dean and assistant professor of medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine, and he lectures locally and nationally on issues of patient safety, pre-hospital care, and public policy. Dr. Marshall works with the regional health information exchange and has served on the Board of Directors of the Brooklyn Health Information Exchange (BHIX). He serves on the NY State Emergency Medical Advisory Committee and is the chairman of the Medical Standards Subcommittee. Dr. Marshall is also the chairman of the Board of Directors of the NYC Emergency Medical Services Council and has served on the NYCDOHMH Physician Advisory Committee for the Primary Care Information Project.

Dr. Salvatore Raccuia is currently the section chief, breast imaging at CRA Medical Imaging in Syracuse, NY. He oversees the Dr. Hadley J. Falk Breast Center at Crouse Hospital, the Oswego Hospital Breast Center in Oswego, NY, and the Breast Center at Crouse Medical Imaging in East Syracuse, NY. Prior to his present position, he was director of breast and women’s imaging at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY, and in Poughkeepsie, NY. He was previously clinical assistant professor at SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Raccuia’s honors include serving on the Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation board of directors, where he was chairman of the board of directors for two years. He was rated Top 10 Doctors Metro Area, NY, and State, NY, by Vitals.com and awarded highest rated radiologists in NYC by RateMDs.com. He has served on the ABPS Board of Certification in Radiology in different capacities for several years.

Dr. Marcos Rosado has been practicing for 28 years providing quality anesthesia, critical care, and pain management services to North Carolinians, first in the private sector at the former Good Hope Hospital in Erwin, NC, and currently at the Fayetteville VA Coastal Healthcare System and at Womack Army Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC. At the VA Coastal Healthcare System, Dr. Rosado has served in multiple roles, including acting chief of surgery, deputy chief of surgery, chief of anesthesiology, section chief of interventional pain, and critical care COVID-19 response c-chief. In 2009, he started the first interventional pain service at the Fayetteville VA Coastal Health System. Dr. Rosado has received numerous service awards including the Surgical Services Award Five-, Ten- and Fifteen-Year Service Certificates, UNC Healthcare System Award, and the Caught You Caring Award. Rosado obtained his medical degree at the Ponce School of Medicine in Puerto Rico, graduating in the top twenty of his class. He continued his specialty training at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, NJ, where he completed a general surgery internship and a residency in anesthesiology. Dr. Rosado finished his training after completing a one-year fellowship in critical care at the University of Florida, Shands Hospital. He is the former secretary of the ABPS Board of Certification in Anesthesiology (BCA) and currently serves as the chair of BCA. At the present time, Dr. Rosado and other fellow diplomates are working to create a new ABPS interventional pain board.

Dr. Myles Spar attended the University of Michigan Medical School and worked as a humanitarian for Doctors Without Borders, which triggered his appreciation for the role of lifestyle, community, and personal engagement in each person's ability to achieve their goals in health. In addition to his internal medicine training, Dr. Spar completed formal training in public health and health services research at UCLA and in integrative medicine at the University of Arizona Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine, while establishing and running a free integrative medicine program at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in the L.A. area. He received the prestigious Bravewell Leadership Award for this work. Dr. Spar is board certified in internal and integrative medicine. He has served as board member and chair of the American Board of Integrative Medicine and is on clinical faculty for the University of Arizona AWCIM Fellowship and the Academy for Integrative Health and Medicine Integrative Medicine Fellowship.
