ABPS Announces Application Deadlines for 2015 Physician Certification Exams  

Tampa, FL- Application deadlines for 2015 board certification and re-certification examinations have been announced by the American Board of Physician Specialties® (ABPS). Completed applications for May 2015 exams must be received December 1, 2014. The deadline for the November 2015 exams is May 1, 2015.

Additional specific information and eligibility requirements for each of the specialty boards are available online at http://www.abpsus.org. ABPS certifies qualified physicians in various specialties, including Anesthesiology, Dermatology, Diagnostic Radiology, Disaster Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine Obstetrics, Family Practice, Hospital Medicine, Integrative Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, and Urgent Care.

“Because board certification is a voluntary process, its achievement represents an exceptional commitment to patient care on the part of the physician,” said Susan LoBianco, Director of Certification.

Board certification from ABPS is based on rigorous scientific standards and clinical content-based examinations designed to demonstrate knowledge and experience in the core competencies involved with each of the boards of certification. Both qualified allopathic and osteopathic physicians are eligible to apply.
