Tampa, FL – The future examination schedule for physician board certification and re-certification beginning in 2016 has been announced by the American Board of Physician Specialties® (ABPS). In order to be eligible to sit for an ABPS board certification or re-certification examination, candidates must apply before the published deadline.

“One of the central components to earning board certification through the American Board of Physician Specialties is the successful completion of a standardized, psychometrically-validated examination, ” said Susan LoBianco, Director of Certification.”We use computer-based testing for all of our written examinations, which are offered at a network of testing centers throughout the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico,” she added.

It is important for all current ABPS Diplomates to review the 2016 exam schedule to ensure their re-certification applications are submitted in time to complete the re-certification exams prior to their current certification expiration dates.
