Tampa, FL – The American Association of Physician Specialists (AAPS) Foundation, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, recently announced the launch of a new web site devoted to supporting education and training for medical professionals and the general public in the areas of health and medicine.  The new site, located at www.aapsfoundation.org, provides information and resources concerning the art and science of medicine, to promote public health and to advance new and evolving areas of medical specialization.

Dr. Stephen Montes, Chairman of the AAPS Foundation Board, looks forward to anticipated growth of the Foundation that will provide education and training for physicians as well as information for the public.  “The AAPS Foundation web site will provide beneficial materials that lead to high-quality patient care and the promotion of public health,” Montes said.

“With the launch of the AAPS Foundation web site, we are pleased to provide a new complimentary monograph, entitled, “A Short Guide to the Specialty Certification of Physicians,” written by Dr. Todd Sagan,” said Dr. Montes. “It’s written for multiple audiences, who have an interest in understanding how physician specialty certification is determined and utilized in the United States,” he said.

The Tampa-based AAPS Foundation funds educational resources, programs and scholarships and is the philanthropic branch of the American Association of Physician Specialists (AAPS), the governing body of the American Board of Physician Specialties.
