Tampa, FL – Application deadlines for physician board certification and recertification examinations in 2014 have been announced by the American Board of Physician Specialties® (ABPS). Completed applications for May 2014 exams must be received December 1, 2013. The deadline for the November 2014 exams is May 1, 2014.
Applications and eligibility requirements for each of the specialty boards are available online at http://www.abpsus.org. ABPS certifies qualified physicians in 18 different specialties including Anesthesiology, Dermatology, Diagnostic Radiology, Disaster Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine Obstetrics, Family Practice, Geriatric Medicine, Hospital Medicine, Integrative Medicine, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedic Surgery, Psychiatry, Radiation Oncology, Surgery, and Urgent Care.
Board certification from ABPS is based on rigorous scientific standards and innovative examination techniques that are designed to demonstrate knowledge and experience in the core competencies involved with each of the boards of certification. Both allopathic and osteopathic physicians are eligible to apply.
ABPS is the official certifying body of the American Association of Physician Specialists, Inc. ® (AAPS).
