Application deadlines for the 2013 physician board certification examinations have been announced by the American Board of Physician Specialties® (ABPS). Completed applications for May 2013 exams must be received by December 1, 2012. DThe deadline for the November 2013 exams is May 1, 2013. Applications and eligibility requirements for each of the 17 specialty boards are available online at www.abpsus.org.

ABPS board certification is based on rigorous scientific standards and innovative examination techniques that are designed to demonstrate knowledge and experience in the core competencies involved with each board of certification. Both allopathic and osteopathic physicians are eligible to apply.

ABPS is the official certifying body of the American Association of Physician Specialists, Inc.® (AAPS).
